Tom McQuade
Sports Medicine, SUNY Cortland
ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Tom’s fitness journey started at SUNY Cortland, where he went to college and focused on Sports Medicine. He was an athletic trainer for both the Men’s Rugby Team and the Women’s Gymnastics Team. From there, he joined the United States Navy as a Navy Medical Corpsman and was stationed at the Naval Hospital in Camp Pendleton, CA as an EMT.

Tom’s career interests have been diverse and he has always incorporated fitness into his life. An avid long-distance hiker, he completed the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, Colorado Trail, Long Trail, and Northville Placid Trail. He built a kayak with a buddy and they kayaked 450 miles down the Yukon River. With another friend, he biked from Washington, DC to Florida. He has competed in a few Xterra (off-road) triathlons for fun.

His goal is to help others enjoy life and stay healthy, as he has. He is particularly interested in helping people remain                   healthy as they enter their later years in life.   Tom lives in Middlebury with his wife and two cats.
