WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE
MEMBER PROTOCOL AND SAFETY- updated 7-11-22
Illness - If you are sick please do not come into the facility. Outside the front door we have posted four questions from the CDC. You must answer these for yourself and if the answer is YES to ANY question, please do not enter the club until your symptoms pass. You will be asked to leave the facility if staff observes respiratory symptoms below. We understand that some symptoms may relate to many conditions other than COVID-19 but we are living in a new world and we must ensure that all members feel safe.
1) Have you been confirmed positive for COVID-19?
2) Are you currently experiencing, or recently experienced, any acute respiratory illness symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath?
3) Have you been in close contact with any persons who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19?
4) Have you been in close contact with any persons who have traveled and are also exhibiting acute respiratory illness symptoms.
Facial Coverings- As of June 14, 2021 state officials lifted all pandemic related restrictions and in accordance, masks are no longer required within the club. The state’s “universal guidance”, which encourages those unvaccinated to continue to wear masks and practice social distancing remains in effect. We thank you for keeping each other safe over the past couple of years. Please continue to respect all members who choose to wear a mask whether they are vaccinated or not.
Hand Sanitizing- We have a hand sanitizing station located just outside the front door and require all who enter to sanitize before entering. There are additional hand sanitizing stations within the facility but washing with soap and water is always best.
Equipment Cleaning- As you enter the facility you will find dozens of disinfectant bottles (containing an EPA approved solution that kills COVID-19 and all sub-variants). All who enter MUST grab a bottle and keep it with them at ALL times, disinfecting all equipment that you touch. This must be done before and after any contact is made.
Social Distancing - You must maintain a minimum 6 feet of distance between you and the person closest to you whenever possible. One easy way to gauge this is to keep one machine or bench between you and the next member. Please DO NOT occupy a machine or bench directly beside another member if there is another suitable option. In hallways and/or other narrow sections please be respectful and allow one member at a time to pass.
Wash Your Hands - The more often you wash your hands the safer you will be. The CDC recommends a minimum of 20 seconds.
Be Kind and Respectful - We are living in crazy times and we fully acknowledge that anxiety is high. Please remember that our staff, instructors and your fellow members have been living this pandemic also and stress has been at an all time high for everyone. We need to be extra kind and understanding of one another as we navigate a safe and thoughtful re-opening.
Off Peak Times - If possible, we encourage you to consider off peak times which are traditionally between 7:30-9am, 1:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm.
Check-In - We require that EVERY member check-in on every visit. Many of you have been members for over two decades and we know who you are but please check-in at the desk every time and make sure the staff member on duty knows your name.
WHAT WE HAVE DONE TO KEEP YOU SAFE
FACILITY PROTOCOL AND CHANGES - updated 7-11-22
Air Quality / HVAC - Over the last few years we have been acutely reminded that air quality and the ability of an indoor ventilation system to exhaust air out of a room, replaced with fresh air is critically important. We are fortunate to have an exceptional fresh air ventilation system that exchanges air in all our spaces at a very rapid rate. The ventilation system throughout the building combined with the volume of air in each room (with our high, open ceilings) provides a very favorable environment.
Cardio Floor - We have re-configured much of the cardio floor to allow for additional spacing. You will find 3 rows of machines as opposed to 4 allowing for much more social distancing and walking lanes. We have moved a few cardio machines off the floor and placed them in other sections of the gym. For example you will find a rowing machine and a spin bike in the TRX area and the Nu-Step at the end of the hall. By leaving one machine between you and the next member you will have a minimum of 6-8 feet between you and the next person beside you and a minimum 9-10 feet to the person in the front or back of you.
Free Weight Floor - We have removed 4 benches from the free weight side to allow for more distancing. One flat bench, the decline bench, the seated calf and t-row machines have been removed for the time being. These small changes makes the room feel much more spacious.
Spin Room - The spin room is open for member use at any time when classes are not in session but all cleaning protocols (clean equipment before and after) must be followed. We have 12 bikes in the studio and will add more back in when class sizes require the additional bikes.
Studio 1 and 2- Open to members at any one time for stretching or other forms of exercise. You must sanitize ALL equipment that you touch. The rooms are big open spaces allowing for lots of personal space.
Equipment Room Between Studios - Available for equipment use. Please sanitize and put things back in a neat and orderly fashion.
Cybex Machines - All Cybex machines have been moved to the perimeter of the cardio room to allow for more distancing. No machines have been removed they have just been re-positioned which has been a very welcomed change.
Front Desk Barrier - We have installed plexiglass barriers (aka "sneeze guards") around the front desk for your protection and the protection of our staff.
Disinfectant Bottle Return - When you are leaving the facility we ask that you place your disinfectant bottle at our "Bottle Return" station and NOT back on the sanitation table. Our staff will sanitize the bottle so that you know you are grabbing a clean bottle each time you enter the facility.
Saunas- The saunas are OPEN.
Lockers - Lockers may be rented monthly or accessed on a day use basis at no charge.
Towel Service - Shower Towel service is available for $6.50/mth. As always, workout towels are provided for free but you may also bring your own from home if you choose.
Group Fitness Classes - The full class schedule (both live and virtual) is updated monthly. Most classes (other than Spin, Barre and Yoga) take place in studio 1. Virtual classes may be accessed at no charge to our members or you may call in to pay a day fee for one time access. Class numbers are on the smaller side right now so its a great time to introduce yourself to the many benefits of working out with a group.
Workout Folders- Your personal workout folders have been removed from the floor and are available for pick-up at the front desk. We ask that you take your card home with you and bring it with you on each visit if you would like.
Smoothies - Smoothies and Protein Shakes are available at any time. Lots of great flavors to choose from!
Locker Rooms and Showers - The locker rooms and showers are Open. We provide a hair and body wash but feel free to bring your own soap and shampoo is you choose.
Tables, Chairs and Couches- While we love to socialize as much as you do we have removed seating to allow for more distancing and the encouragement of efficient workouts in an effort to accommodate as many members as comfortably as we can.
Water Fountains- Water fountains are open as is our bottle fill station. We encourage you to bring your own water bottle or you may purchase one at the front desk.
Club Cleaning - As you would expect we have deep cleaned the entire facility and implemented new and enhanced cleaning protocols for staff and our professional cleaning crew, Mr. Mike's Cleaning Service. High touch points such as door knobs, handles, faucets, etc. will be cleaned approximately every hour with deep cleaning after hours and whenever possible throughout the day. All solutions used in the facility are EPA approved to kill all strains and variants of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
Personal Training - Available! We are happy to discuss your needs with you and recommend a trainer that will help you achieve your goals!
Tanning - The tanning bed is open though we will be allowing more time between appointments to allow for disinfecting and air exchange.
